POCONO MOUNTAINS, Pa., September 8, 2009 - The Pocono Mountains Visitors Bureau (PMVB) will unveil their 2009 Annual Report during their special 75th Anniversary Celebration at Penn's Peak in Jim Thorpe on October 1, 2009.

In conjunction with the release of its new report and the Bureau's diamond anniversary, the PMVB is reaching out to Pocono Mountains tourism-related businesses and organizations throughout the four counties of Carbon, Monroe, Pike and Wayne who have been in business for 75 years or more.  These businesses will receive special recognition and be spotlighted during the event.

According to Carl Wilgus, President and CEO of the PMVB, "I believe that this is a great opportunity for the region as a whole to look back over the past 75 years and appreciate the many accomplishments.  It is important that we join together during our special milestone and applaud the initiatives and programs that lead to strong tourism and economic development in the Pocono Mountains."
