The Pocono Mountains area is steeped in sporting traditions. From golf to hunting, individuals and groups alike have memories that will last a lifetime.  If you have a picture of a sporting event or individual that brings the past to life, submit it to our 75th Anniversary Family Album. I'll go first.

Although not that old, this picture represents my first fishing "expedition" here in the Pocono Mountains. Okay, it's not really an expedition when you can hear cars a couple hundred feet behind you, but it was still nice to get back in touch with nature on this creek. Can you recognize the stream just by this picture? I'll give you a hint, there was bridge overhead. Look at what other people have submitted and send us yours here.

As I mentioned in one of my previous blogs, the Pocono Mountains Visitors Bureau will be celebrating our 75th Anniversary in 2009.

Help us celebrate by submitting a story and photo to our Family Album.

Congratulations Pocono Mountains, we now have a minor league soccer team. The Pocono Snow is looking like a sure thing for 2009. The men's team will most likely play their home games at ESU, against National Premier Soccer League competition. Being in its infant stages, there are opportunities galore to get involved with the team.

From ownership to sponsorship, you can get a piece of this pie.  Ever dream of owning a sports team?  The Snow is offering shares of ownership at a very reasonable price.  Want to have your name on the front of their jerseys?  The team offers sponsorship levels that provide dozens of advertising possibilities.  But best of all, the Pocono Snow will give sports fans in the area a great option for live entertainment. The ticket prices will be low, but the quality of play will definitely be high.  Look for at least 6 home games next year.  I'll see you in the stands!
