The plan was to ski eight different mountains in one day. While we fell two short, we still accomplished something few others can claim. Only in the Pocono Mountains can such a feat be accomplished.

Starting at 8am and quitting at 7pm, I accompanied our President/CEO Carl Wilgus and two magazine editors on a familiarization tour to Shawnee Mountain, Tanglwood, Ski Big Bear, Jack Frost, Big Boulder, and Blue Mountain. (Weather had closed Alpine Mountain and dinner forced out Camelback.) The tour highlights two major aspects of skiing in the Pocono Mountains, variety and proximity. Not only do we have choices, but those choices are only a short car ride from one another. This trip was a great reminder of how fortunate we are to live in Northeast PA. So get out and enjoy the snow. As far as where to go, well, take your pick.
