Profile: Hi! I’m Brittany Berger, the resident dining expert for the Pocono Mountains! It’s a week of firsts for me, as I embark on my first “big girl” job after graduating from college, and dive into my first weekly blog! Born and raised in the Pocono Mountains, I jumped at the opportunity to return home to begin my career at the Pocono Mountains Visitors Bureau. I keep coming back for more, as this is my third time returning to the Bureau! I interned both last summer, as well as briefly during the winter of 2010. I have a fully loaded summer ahead, as I temporarily will be taking over the Marketing Assistant position at the Bureau. First up on the agenda, The Berger’s Burger blog! Along with PR Personality, Gillian Moore, I am also a recent graduate of the Pennsylvania State University. Can I get a We Are…? In addition, I’m a wannabe cook, dog lover, Glee fanatic, an outdoor enthusiast, country music fan and of course, I have a love for delicious food! My blog is dedicated to all things having to do with the dining experience in the Pocono Mountains. From farm fresh, locally-raised entrees, to exotic dishes sure to melt in your mouth, I’ll give you the scoop on where to satisfy your taste buds. Having a picky palette as a child, I had no idea all the alluring flavors I had been missing throughout the region. As my name would imply, burgers have always been a major staple in my house. This summer, in addition to mouthwatering burgers, I’m opening my mouth to a whole list of tantalizing cuisine in the region. I’ll give you a seat at my table, as we take a tour through the many dining options throughout the Pocono Mountains. Table for two please!
