Shawnee Mountain Ski Area is holding its annual Independence Day Celebration and Fireworks, which benefits the Shawnee Volunteer Fire Company. Featuring an outdoor DJ, Uncle Sam stilt walker, and Mark Clark's "All American Magic Show', and various food and craft vendors. A delicious Hickory Licks barbecue is planned. The cost $10 per car load. The fireworks display will be at dusk, approximately 9pm, presented by the Interstate Fireworks Display Company. The rain date is scheduled for July 7.
