Come to Honesdale's beautiful Central Park for fun, food, music, and a fantastic fireworks display. Enjoy children's games, vendors, and entertainment in the park. Rain date is July 6, 2013.

As in years past, local non-profit groups, artists, businesses, and other institutions will be present to show the community what they have been up to all year. Visitors can enjoy food, carnival rides, games, music and much more throughout the day. Fireworks start at 9pm.

Join the Lighthouse Harbor Marina and the Pocono Lake Region Chamber of Commerce for a fireworks display over Lake Wallenpaupack. Tune into FM 95.3 or 105.3 and listen to some patriotic music from your boat or car during the fireworks display. Parking and seating is available at the Wallenpaupack High School.

The elaborate fireworks display, which is expertly set to music, goes off over the property's sprawling lake and attendees are encouraged to arrive early and to bring lawn chairs and blankets in order to enjoy the show.

Shawnee Mountain Ski area is holding its annual Independence Day Celebration and Fireworks, which benefits the Shawnee Volunteer Fire Company. Rain date is July 6.

Join Camelbeach Mountain Waterpark for their annual fireworks spectacular. No coolers or alcohol permitted in the waterpark. Parking fee will benefit the Pocono Township Volunteer Fire Company. The Maybabies will be playing from 5pm-11pm. The rain date is Sunday, July 7th.

Historic Honesdale offers up its famous holiday hospitality with many of its fine stores hosting an Open House for shoppers' browsing pleasure. There's also the Annual Santa Parade and tree lighting, and plenty of other seasonal fun to be found. Please call or visit online for more details.

Christmas is a special time of year in Jim Thorpe, and so the town will celebrate with the 2013 Jim Thorpe Olde Time Christmas Celebration. The celebration will included train rides with Santa, a live Nativity, Historic District Ghost Walks, strolling carolers and musicians, expanded shopping hours, and seasonal dinner specials. If that is not enough, ticketed entertainment will take place each Saturday night of the Olde Time Christmas at the Mauch Chunk Opera House. Let the beautiful downtown transport you to a different era.

Enjoy Christmas in the 1800s as guides dressed in period clothing lead you by lantern light through the historic buildings and displays. Enjoy storytelling, Christmas Putz, Victorian skit, live Nativity, caroling, Belschnikel visit, gift shop, and much more. Groups of 12 or more, by reservation only, from 2:30-3:30pm and can receive $1 off. Rain or shine.

Stroudsmoor Country Inn invites guests from throughout the community and across the nation to join them for the holidays as they celebrate the lighting of the Stroudsmoor Mountain. The Tree Lighting Celebration includes an art show, holiday craft boutique, elaborate gingerbread village, a lighting display, carriage rides, petting zoo, live nativity, and fabulous fireworks, all free for guests to enjoy during the celebration. Each year Stroudsmoor adds something new to the festivities – “Toyland at Terraview” sponsoring the US Marines “Toys for Tots” program.

Watch the Fireworks on Lake Wallenpaupack aboard Wallenpaupack Scenic Boat Tour. You will board the boat and take a short ride along the dike/shoreline. You will learn Lake Wallenpaupack's history and get into the 4th of July spirit. You will then park (close to the observation dike and dock) to watch the fireworks display. Please note that you may get wet on this ride and it is a night time ride; bugs could be biting. Reservations required.
