The goal of the Pocono Mountains Visitors Bureau (PMVB) is to assist travel journalists in developing itineraries and to facilitate visits to attractions, cultural venues and other points of interest they will cover in their articles, books and broadcasts.

We ask your cooperation in following these journalist guidelines:

• A minimum of three weeks notice is requested for a press visit, allowing us to pursue suitable, available lodging and make other arrangements to enhance your visit.
• Fax, mail or email a letter of assignment on letterhead from the media outlet you are representing.
• Freelance journalists: please forward recent examples of travel or travel-related feature coverage.
• Please understand that our primary concern is assisting working press. Host locations are not always able to accommodate spouses, children and visitors accompanying working press.

• Note: Complimentary arrangements are provided at the discretion of the host businesses and are subject to availability. Black-out periods may be experienced throughout the year that may necessitate a press rate, especially at hotels. The PMVB cannot provide airfare for your trip, nor can it pay for ground transportation (a list of companies offering rental car media rates can be provided upon request), accommodations, attraction passes or meals.
