ironman 70.3 series expands to pocono mountains September 15, 2010 The biggest brand in triathlon is coming to Pennsylvania in 2011 with the addition of Ironman 70.3 Pocono Mountains. Scheduled for Sunday, Oct. 2, 2011, the event will take place in and around the scenic Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area with a fantastic finish down Main Street in historic Stroudsburg, PA. The inaugural race will mark the first Ironman event in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and will include a multisport expo and other interactive events.
