With just a handful of acoustic instruments and two voices, this bluegrass duo hones in clarity of great raw music. It's what you have left when you strip everything back down to zero. It rocks, it reels, and then it consoles you when you come back down. There's a wistfulness of their lyrics about the loss of mountain habitat and culture ache against the simple backdrop of strings, though this is not Appalachian music in a traditional sense. At every turn, it sounds fresh and newly imagined. Harmony Presents The Honey Dew Drops at the Hawley Silk Mill.
