Steamtown National Historic Site will launch National Park Week with an entrance fee-free weekend. On Saturday, April 19 and Sunday, April 20, all indoor and outdoor exhibit areas and park museum facilities, including guided tours and the park movie, and Steel and Steam are free.Additionally, the Scranton Limited short train rides will begin operating on April 19 and continue daily, except April 26, during National Park Week. This three -mile, 30-minute round-trip travels through the rail yards, crosses the Lackawanna River, passes the historic Radisson at Lackawanna Station hotel and stops at the University of Scranton before returning to the Steamtown boarding area. Following National Park Week, the Scranton Limited will operate Wednesdays through Saturdays, with departure times at 10:30am and 11:30am, 1:30pm and 2:30pm.

The Wallace Brothers derive their sounds from traditional folk and country music and mix it with improvisational rock and roll. Jean Rohe and Maeve Gilchrist are songwriters and interpreters of traditional folksongs. Maeve, a phenomenal harp player and singer from Scotland states Dirty Linen, and Jean, a sure-footed young singer-songwriter state the New York Times, built a repertoire upon their shared love of quality songwriting, improvisation, and textural adventurousness. Telling of their versatility, they met while performing a contemporary classical music score as part of the Next Wave Festival at the Brooklyn Academy of Music, but both have their roots in folk traditions and were trained as improvisers. For this show, on the occasion of Hawley Earthfest and the return of spring, they present songs full of nature imagery, culled from their own writing, traditional repertoire, and the collections of some of their favorite songwriters.
