Kids, start your engines... er, wait a minute... engines are not allowed. Start cranking and getting ready for the 5th Annual Last Fling Pumpkin Sling at the Pocono Raceway. Enjoy pumpkin sling competition, vertical ventures jump unit, craft, food, hot air balloon tethered rides, hay rides, and much more. Quiet Valley Living Historical Farm celebrates their 41st Annual Harvest Festival. There will be plenty of traditional skills and heritage crafts demonstrated such as spinning, weaving, yarn dyeing, black smithing, broom making, scrapple making, apple butter making, and much more. Enjoy plenty of folk entertainment, good country food, children's activities, pumpkin decorating, a quilt raffle, pony rides, horse-drawn wagon rides, one room schoolhouse presentation, outdoor brick bake oven, and much more. The Civil War Encampment is always a favorite at Harvest Festival. The 142nd Pennsylvania Volunteer Infantry, Co. G Re-enactors will portray the drill and everyday life of soldiers in the 19th century, giving visitors a glimpse into local history. The festival will be held rain or shine. Demonstrations are under tents. No pets and no smoking please. The Harvest Festival schedule is subject to change.

Ride through scenic Pennsylvania mountain fall foliage. Take in the beautiful fall scenery as you travel over rivers, bridges and through tunnels. The train runs rain or shine. All coaches are heated with windows. Each rider must have a ticket. Advance tickets only, no ticket sales day of trip. The Diesel Train runs October 3, 4, and 24; Steam Engine runs October 10, 11, 17, and 18.
