Visit Shawnee Mountain for non-stop Celtic music on three stages, a bagpipers' parade and fiddlers jam, working sheep dogs, Irish step dancers, and a variety of Celtic craft and food vendors. The Sherman Theater presents the third annual Pocono Raceway Festival on Main Street. Taking place the day before the first NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race of the season at the Pocono Raceway in Long Pond, PA. By combining spectacular show car displays, delicious food vendors, fun games for all ages, and musical performances on several stages. This all day festival is free of charge.
The Pocono Mountains Bluegrass Festival has been a family oriented festival for the past 14 years. Thursday Night will be a showcase of up and coming Bluegrass Bands. On Friday Night there will be a competition amongst the "field pickers" at the campsites. The winner of this jammin' contest will get tickets to next year's festival and play at the 2012 festival on Saturday. The event is held rain or shine due to the covered stage and seating areas. Over 12 bands will be performing!

The mission of the Concours d'Elegance of the Eastern US is to provide a world-class collector car exhibition that will attract public attention and financial support for the lifesaving programs and services of the Burn Prevention Network. The event begins on Friday with a welcome reception for concours show exhibitors and sponsors. Saturday will feature the road tour which is open registration. Enjoy a leisurely tour of country roads and the scenic beauty of the Pocono Mountains. All cars 1975 or older are welcomed to register and participate. A special concours road tour collectible and lunch will be provided for all tourers. After the tour, a Styling and Design Roundtable will take place, registration is required. This is your opportunity for a dialogue with designers who helped shape the American automobile. The Concours d'elegance dinner party and auction will follow. Sunday admission is $25/adults and children 15 and over; children under 15 are free. Hours are 9am-4pm. Free parking all weekend (rain or shine).
Fun for the whole family! The West End Car Show includes the Pocono Old-Tyme Farm Equipment Association, Peddle Tractor Pulls, Pocono Mountain Garden Railway Society, flea market, craft show, music by Chris Eckert from 11am-3pm, and refreshments. Spectator admission is $3 per person; children 12 and under are free. Parking is free. The show will be held from 8am-3pm rain or shine.
Shawnee Mountain Ski Area is holding its annual Independence Day Celebration and Fireworks, which benefits the Shawnee Volunteer Fire Company. Featuring an outdoor DJ, Uncle Sam stilt walker, and Mark Clark's "All American Magic Show', and various food and craft vendors. A delicious Hickory Licks barbecue is planned. The cost $10 per car load. The fireworks display will be at dusk, approximately 9pm, presented by the Interstate Fireworks Display Company. The rain date is scheduled for July 7.
This Oktoberfest in July is back with even more wursts, wieners, kielbasa, pierogies, and crafted brews. Featuring various Polka bands and German Oom Pa Pa bands, Polish and German dancers, and craft vendors. You're sure to have the best of times! Bring your appetite and your dancing shoes. There will be demonstrations of many early American skills and crafts, such as broom making, oak split basketry, spinning, weaving, yarn dyeing, tatting, coopering, quilling, outdoor brick bake oven, Dutch oven cooking, butter making, and rope making.
